Subject: RE: GPS on scraper

Hi. AGps writes some interesting software. Another alternative would be Trimble's AgGPS FieldLevel. If you have the full Trimble AgGPS Autopilot RTK system you need to add a kit for less than $7000 to go to the FieldLevel point-to-point system. This includes direct electronic hookup automatic scraper control for the JD8000/9000 or MX or STX tractors (direct electronic hookup for other tractors is coming). If you had their GCS21 laser control boxes, the package would be less than that. With FieldLevel you can dial in a desired grade or survey and have it calculate a single or dual slope.

You would need the Trimble AgGPS 170 field computer to use this with another brand of GPS equipment.

Timble's Multiplane can also be used with FieldLevel. That allows you to take your topo map and come up with a Multiplane landforming design. The design is then loaded into the computer in the tractor to move dirt. Thanks.
