Subject: RE: ANAPLASMOSIS

north central Oklahoma
Back in the last century (and by the way, I seldom reply on this forum because I don't run livestock of any kind anymore but the anaplasmosis title caught my eye) there was a young kid I knew in some of my AnSci classes at Okahoma State University. This kid was relentless in the study and the ultimate eradication of anaplasmosis from cowherds. I, from a livestock raising background also, had never heard of it, but followed him as close as I could, figuring I could go back to farm and help dad head this off at the pass as the way he went on about it, it was taking over the world. Not very far off of the tenacity Gore and friends have with global warming. Sort of lost track of the guy, but assumed that whatever he was chasing surely would have been caught and cured by now. This is the first I have heard of it since the early 70's while at that institute of higher levels of drinking.

And sorry for your loss also. You are fortunate to have figured it out promptly.
