Thanks to both of you replying. I will leave them hot.

However if you stick the tester ground probe as far as you can into the snow and touch the wire it reads nothing. Touching the wire while standing on the snow however and you get what seems to be a good zap! In the Air Force one of the key things a new pilot needs to learn is to trust your instruments, tough for me to change.

Left two wires hot. More snow predicited but shouldn't get up to the bottom wire yet. Thanks for sharing your experience.
