My experience says-anytime you are standing in 'wet' you get a double good schock. AND snow was considered wet last I looked,,,not much insulating to it!! MUCH better than bone dry dirt. leave them BOTH hot for that wayward calf,,,and then take bottom off so it doesnt ground out IF snow gets that deep,,or move it further UP!!
