However, since prices have gone up to this level, our basis has shrunk. What used to be maybe 25-30 cents now might be 10 or 15. I haven't sold any in a while, but I know that the last sold was nowhere near that higher basis. In a logical world, our basis should rise as we are already a corn deficit state, but since when is this logical?
Beans on the other hand are always negative by 30-40cents. I'd like to see that improve with biodiesel etc., but so far no dice.
