| Last spring some packers were offering a 10 cent premium for drug and hormone free steers. I think and am told by some very good feeders I know that that's not enough. If you have good steers and a good local market go for it. I've found from experience that most locals want good meat cheap and don't want to pay a premium but that's based mainly on location. More urban areas could present better opportunities. | |
