Kansas | For carcass I.D. you wouldn't use a needle tattoo type setup. You would simply use a stamp and you wouldn't slap it on there either because it would smear or the ink would "bleed" away from the intended site and still cause a messy i.d.
I only know this because of my time working in the slaughterhouse.
I don't know anything about raising sows though and I was just offering food for thought. I won't argue if you say the tag is a better deal. After just 7 piggies that were well mannered compared to a cranky arsed sow though, I wouldn't want to be standing in a trailer full of those attitude ridden pork. I'm afraid I'd get knocked down and tore all to hell. | |
