I thought you left that site because of useless drivel.  I guess with todays forecasters it is easier to predict drought than to predict rain.  They tend to be right more times, depending on your definition of drought.  Average precipitation over a 12 month period is a better indicator than some of theirs. 

It is interesting how everyone supposedly knows about or lived through the drought of the 1930s, but few realize or remember that they still were able to grow crops.  They weren't great, but they did grow and produce some income that kept the more frugal farmers going.

As fas as being in for a doozy, some have already been there in the last 5 years and others are just getting started.  It's a big country.  Sizing up a drought is like 5 blind men sizing up an elephant, each has a different viewpoint.
