| Thanks guys for all the input. Decided to go the Hay Mizer route.
I talked to the owner at Hay Mizer and decided to go that route. He sounds like a great guy, did a lot of tinkering and research before coming up with the final design. His shop in in good cattle country in Iowa and has quite a few feeders out in the area.
That, and a little local info. He lives in Dutch country around Pella and they are his best customers. That says a LOT about the product. If he can make a living selling to those tight dutchmen, it's good enough to satisfy the Scotch blood in me.
Thought long and hard about the inserts, and other designs, but right now I'm willing to try something new.
