Thanks for the nice photo. What you are doing looks good and is something we worked on (row cleaners to turn an nh3 bar into a strip till bar) for about 10 years. While it obviously works for you in central IL, that is about the ONLY place that arrangement works. Flat and black, can't find a rock with extended fall season. We found most places MUST have a floating row unit to maintain consistent depth. The std nh3 C shank also changes angle under load. Rocks are a major issue except in C IL... + many other issues in most locations. jmho and experience. Jim at Dawn (watch out for a cut edge behind disc sealers - can be major over winter erosion even on flat looking ground)
