Decatur, Michigan

Fendtman,

Up in the thumb of Michigan there is the Saddleburg family (Bayshore Farms) that put in a really nice organic corn test plot for two years using both organic and untreated commercially available seed. Interesting results both years.
There were several companies including Great Lakes, Brownseed, Dahlco, Merrit, and NuTech involved in their test plot. I am not sure if Blue River has been included in that site or not?

The company formerly known as Brownseed, now a part of NuTech Seed has had success in the organic and untreated corn world with what appeared to be solid agronomics for the purpose of organic farming here in Michigan. Another grower near me in Southern Michigan and a close friend of mine has planted both the Blue River and Brownseed/NuTech and has had success from both companies. Blue River has a solid reputation as well in the organic world. We did some testing here on our research farm in Litchfield for NC+ Organics years ago, we are not an organic farm but we treated their plots organically. It was certainly a learning experience during thoase two years of plots for them.
