Did you use 8-9 tons of litter per acre? Sounds high to me. Same poultry litter rate used on the other field with the same variety? If a lower rate was used on that field than maybe sri is correct in the gibberella issue. Too much N may well be the problem. We usually apply no more than 3 tons of litter per acre and sidedress N according to nitrate tests. Also did you get an analysis run on your litter?
