Central IL | I enjoy reading about and seeing your experiences and experiments with "dumb ideas". Of course I planted "magic radishes" this year in wagon tracks, so I tend to subscribe to dumb ideas on experimental levels as well. We'll see whether this was a dumb idea com spring or not. It could have just been a good idea put into place in a dumb fashion. I also forgot to pull the chisel plow out of the weeds or where ever it got left as well. That's OK, I'd probably have to cut down a couple of trees that have grown up through it to get it out anyway.
Keep the dumb ideas coming, I've been happy with the results of a few dumb ideas I've tried so far. Not so happy with the results of others, but they did provide valuable lessons of what turned out to be not so great ideas in the end whether or not they were dumb to start with.
To me, dumb is not trying different things to see if there isn't something better out there. To become complacent is probably the best way to make certain we don't improve. | |
