Subject: RE: Cheap T posts...grazing corn stalks, etc.. Plowing around the stalks

southern MN
I use barbed wire for my electric. (Some holstien blood in my herd....) It's a bit more visable than thin strand.

Deer have knocked it down 3-4 times in the last 20 years.

Add:
I put 2 tee posts in the corners - make it a 45 degree corner without bracing - and step in rod posts every 7 or 8 paces. Got older sprep in posts, not the flimsy new ones. No extra posts on straight runs.

I have 2-3 rolls of poly tape, very different grades of that stuff, and use it for quick fencing around machinery & buildings for the cattle to clean up spots during summer. Wind is an issue with that stuff I have, seems to last 3 years, maybe 5. And I only use it a few weeks here & there. Handy & visable (to me & wife mostly!) for the use I have.
