Subject: Stock Market dropping--Corn and Beans hang tough

I like the fact that the corn and bean markets are "hanging tough" in spite of the negative price action of the stock markets. I'd say they'd be several cents higher at this time if the stock market hadn't taken a nose-dive.

I have about half of our corn and beans yet to sell and I'm watching the markets close.

This morning ADM tells me they'll pay 10.07 for beans and 3.79 for corn for Jan 08 delivery. I'm think'in beans may go on up from 10, in part because lots of people are using this nice round number to trade off of and they think it could be a top. I keep think'in that maybe a biodiesel boom will kick-in like ethanol did last year.

Need I say---------I could be wrong.
