IHman, we are also total post on our corn chemicals and have run into the same problem as you with grass in the outside rows. Chemical dealer says it's because we are in a total post program but I have talked to others that use a 2 pass syatem & are having the same problem. IMO oart of the problem is throwing grass clippings into the field when mowing roadsides. This creates extra grass & weed seed. Also, another reason is those rows receive more sunlight than the rest of the field. Another is that 1/2 the outside tip is only apply 1/2 rate of chemical. We added an addition fence row tip & that seems to have helped.

This year our biggest problem fields were where we applied Guardsman Max (1qt) & Celebrity Plus (3oz). Along with only getting 1/2 rate of Atrazine thru the Guardsman Max when we were spraying the night temps were getting down into the mid 50s & below. If you check the labels most sprays tell you not to spray when temps fall below 55ยบ. Luckily company rep OK'd a respray using Option. which seemed to clean it up. Most of our corn was sprayed with Steadfast ATZ & Distinct & didn't have the problem.
