| At first that seems completely outrages, but then got to figuring.
If that truly is 200bpa average ground and my 140 bpa dirt rents for $120 plus 60 extra bushels * $3.80 = $228 + my $120 rent = $348
Guess I would have had high bid! Can that ground really average 200bpa ?
Yes I know I'll need a little extra fertilizer to grow 200 bu corn, but on the other hand I'll bet its not made up of two dozen 30 acre fields none of which have a straight side. Point being its much more efficient to farm = lower machinery cost. | |
