West Ky | Not really because of the inputs are crazy. priced some liquid (32%) this morning at 343 a ton that is ridiculous. 200 units a/acre that would be around $100 an acre just for the liquid. 9-23-30 is a tad over $400, Seed cost could cost you $70 an acre not to mention the chemicals/equipment cost/labor/repairs/diesel/insurance etc etc etc. Doesn't look to rosy now does it? These input costs are getting higher by the day. If you have a drought kiss your tail goodby those insurance companies are going to weasel out if they can. | |
