USA | Imo the reason for the animosity, is that farmers who rent the majority of the land they farm are scared to death about what is coming down the road. I really don't like the direction things are headed in rural America, but a person might as well adapt to what is taking place, because we ain't going back to the good ole days.
The cold hard facts are, if you farm north of I 70 in IL and rent land and are not willing to pay $300 plus per acre rents in the next five years, you prolly won't be farming it.
