341 rent + 250 inputs = $591
200 bu corn x $3.50 = $700
$109 profit
Making almost a 20% return on his investment with opportunity to buy federal crop to insure his revenue, and $250 is ample for fertility replacement. What am I not seeing, these are conservative yields for that area and liberal input costs.
