Eastern Ontario
Joe, Strip till and organic corn, that's a tuffy.  In a regular ridge till system the old corn stalks are skimmed off at planting time and the new row is right ontop of the old row. I suppose what you're thinking of is putting your strips between the original rows, leaving the stalks intact. That's going to be tough to cultivate. If you're going to try something like this, I would use a Buffalo 6400 or 6300 high residue cultivator. Forget about the buffalo shields. They don't work. You need to put on some Hiniker rolling shields in order not to plug up.   I think its best to team up your strip till machine with a stalk puller or shredder somehow.
