Subject: insecticide

Driftless SW Wisconsin

With the price of triple stacks and moving to continuous corn on our test plots, I have been thinking about this insecticide vs triple stack question.

Maybe I am particularly sensitive to the issue from some things that happened a number of years ago on our Dawn planter project (may it R.I.P!) but I personally just don't want to handle insecticide.  I watch a lot of planter operators and some of them get pretty careless when handling insecticides.

I know there are lock and load, smartboxes etc but I just don't like being around the stuff and am willing to pay a bit more for a triple stack and maybe a bu/a or two if it will let me avoid handling and having to clean up the planter with insecticide on it. jmho and point of view.
