As the article stated,in early spring and late fall when the sun isn't as intense,they do help with drydown...I'm sorry,i've just never been a big fan of them...I can't stand the leaf loss i see behind one...I've finally settled that when i have to run one to run it at about 350 rpm and to just sort of pick the hay up and fluff it,not try to beat it to death..
