West Ky | Haven't started to get beans out but finished putting the wheat in lastnight. Had a few good days running and put in over 100 acres a day with a 20ft drill. Most around here havn't even started to put wheat in yet. A lot of guys disked their RR volunteer corn up and now thier fields are mudpits. Some tried to disk again yesterday but still to wet. Most of our beans are still green with leaves all over them. When it dries up we are going to go out their and see what massive yields we have. Have been hearing anywhere from 7-23 bu acr around these parts. Our beans in the bottoms are shoulde high but full of blanks and tiny beans while double crop beans are about a foot tall and sparse due to most dying from the drought. The ones that survived got some healthy beans though due to the rain we recieved on Sep 9-11. We got more rain then than the previous 9 months combined. Weird year. Could give a fellow a few ulcers to. | |
