Subject: Manure PH

Quincy, IL
I was looking at my manure sample data from the past 4 years and noticed the PH has consistently increased from 7.4 in '04 to 8.1 this year. We typically apply 7-8K per acre every other year on bean stubble For the most part our ground was on the low side for PH when last tested. How does this compare with applying 2 tons of lime and will applying this every 2 years raise the PH in the soil too much? Is it possible to get PH levels to high?

Thanks for help.
