Actually, I used to inject UAN, but you're right... spreading is so much faster and urea is cheaper by far.
The key is to take a holiday after spreading 'cause it will burn the leaves a little if it is hot and the corn is advance. However, I haven't seen any yield drag at all. In fact I know that my corn yields = or greater than the neighbours.
