Seedguru I think one of the problems w/placement is that we may not know all that info until harvest. Variety choice by itself may be one thing, but what about variety choice under adverse conditions. Suppose you got 10" rain more than the yr before when trying to pick the "right" hybrids to apply fungicides. Or, maybe like the guys in S OH, you get less than 5" rain total. I can't imagine any fungus even living in that moisture-free environment. Could be wrong. I'm just saying I'm not sure we can go by the claims of "this variety needs to be sprayed & this one doesn't....". That quote may be accurate in one year in one general circumstance. Am I wrong? Why were you at the airport so much?
