Chilliwack BC | Yes I'm on a dariy farm and we bought a few hundered tons this fall, nothing much. "Around here" most corn, standing in the field would be in the $30-$35 range. At $25 you wouldn't have any problem selling it. Lots of dairies in a small confined area though with expensive land and rent at $200-$300 per acre. With nurseries, blueberries and other intensive crops all taking land, that could be why our price is a little higher. We don't grow corn, just buy some to make up for any shortcomings, and grow only grass ourselves.
LOTS of the "other" type of grass grown in Chilliwack too! Don't touch that stuff though. | |
