They need to understand sound agronomy and good testing and recommendations. Some farmers are hard workers but not good thinkers.
Ya think I could get dad to soil test? Why no, I had to do it myself! Then he would see the recommendations and would say Oh My, we can't afford that! We will put manure on that field. Dad, it needs lime not more acid!
