Subject: Do certain varities dry harder than others?

Bourbon, Indiana
Does anyone else ever experience certain varities drying harder than others? Today we were shelling Brodbecks 37R06 running about 18% then moved over to Brodbecks 37R08 running 20% and it cut our drying time a little more than half of the 06. Now I understand that it's also 2 points wetter but still to cut the time in half makes me wonder if the shell of this variety is harder to penetrate than others. The same thing happened last week, were picking Golden Harvest L-8H68, then moved over to the 37R08 and same thing, cut the drying time in half and the moistures were the same.
Was just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

thanx
Brad
