Faunsdale, AL | I've seen one at a large dairy in Texas. We feed on a flat floor, but that has it's own set of problems.
As close as I looked at the attachment they had it was built out of 4x4 or so tubing and had a "blade that pushed the leftovers into piles. I guess you push as much as you can and then lift up and leave the pile there, or go ahead and then back up to bring from the other direction. That would be hard in my opinion, backing up isn't going to be that easy to stay straight.
Any way you could configure it so it had a tire carcass to actually contact the bunk surface, would be an advantage in my book. Very long lasting and would have some "give" in it. | |
