Everyone makes mistakes. I find most people that don't do anything are the ones that don't make mistakes. Today, I myself am cleaning out a bin of corn I let get hot because I hadn't checked it properly and shut the fan off too soon. Probably in all reality your Dad was upset you left to go to the farm sale. It was probably hard at that time for him to pay the wages he was paying as it was the middle of the farm crisis. The interest payments were probably eating him up and if not was worried how you were going to be able to farm in the future. It might have been more a situation of 12 things on his mind at one time. The hardest part of farming is the worry. Worry about rain, prices, costs, landlords, etc.
