it sure won,t hurt, but you are going to keep seeing record prices, IMO you will see $2.25  dressed weight by April 1



It better start helping because Susie Q. Homemaker is starting to not be able to afford the prices in the store. The amount that the store takes out fot he sticker price is a large part of the problem. It would seem, by the reports that I have been able to find, that the retail end of things takes about 45% of the sticker price. Some of the top cuts are now being priced in 100 gm amounts so that sticker shock will be less as most people can't easily mentally calculate the conversion (its not that hard!). Listen to people that have been selling freezer beef for a while - - they are saying that sales have really dropped off - - that means that beef is becoming more of a luxury item - - I'm not sure that we really can afford THAT!

The big change that is needed is to get rid of the cheap food thinking but that's not going to happen overnight. To do that North American persons will have to relax their vehicular additions and THAT won't go over well with most guys!!
