East central South Dakota | We've seen more under 1000 pound bred heifers up here than ever before. Lots of 800-900 pounders calving in March - gonna be trouble for the guys calving them and trying to get them re-bred. Still bringing 1550-1700. Sold some 6 yr old cows this week for over 2 grand weighing 1350 - by far the outlier cows as far as the market goes. Really not much of a break on the bred stock though until you get to old broken mouth cows. |
