Saronville NE | Wayne from what Im starting to see hear, this heifer deal is getting overdone, here the bred heifers have really dropped outa bed the couple weeks, lots of em out there for sale but no buyers, know of a couple sales that has large lots of heifers for sale, the first group may bring $2k, next $1750, then $1500-1600, then 1200 know of a sale a week ago that had such a glut of heifers they couldnt get $1000 outa good ones, they would bring more then that if they hadnt been bred. I think there are 2 things happening here with this scenerio 1 is alot of guys dont like to babysit heifers and thats why 2-3 calvers bring a premium, and 2 I think there just plain isnt enuff grocieries to feed or no grass left or cant find grass to be able to buy any. I know of a couple guys who would like to buy some more heifers or young cows, no grass to be found. | |
