western iowa,by Denison | Didn't want to add anymore to the post below,I have lost a few freezer beef customers this year because they simple can't afford a beef put away in the freezer-Usually I sell them the top fatest heifer out of my pen,last year it weghed 1500# at $1800 without processing they just simple could not afford it.
Somewhere along the line we will have demand drop,I would say we are already there,wont matter if there's a shortage or not we wont have many buyers if it's to high-simple as that !
I think my cousin's statement is getting more true everyday,(We run out of money before we run out of cattle!)
If Markwright's prediction is right $2.55 cwt-I wont be in the game,right along with not buying $12,650 ground 2 miles away-there's reality and stupidity in the end someone has to pay. | |
