You are younger than most of my kids, so you could be my kid :-) 2009 truly set us back and we weren't expecting that, and it came at a bad time in our career. So close to the end of debt, and then to have to take on a bunch more, and have no more to show for it. I laughed out loud at the bipolar comment. We go through that as well. We cannot afford to sell out now, at least not comfortably, which is why I'm depressed. So to your 2nd last sentence, no, we are not young enough to do something different. The volatility of dairying is what makes it so unpalatable to me.
Also, Kyle, I understand that milk price in PA is considerably more than in WI....not sure if your expenses are that much more?
