Buckeye Lake, OH | All I did was read the first paragraph and now I have to comment on here. I'm a student at the University of Idaho and a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, which is an Ag/natural resource based fraternity. I'm around people in the college of Ag every day, even though my major is in the college of engineering. The U of I cut back a bunch of it Ag programs not because of a shortage of jobs, but because they lost money from the state. If the author looked, many other majors were cut or combined in other colleges because of the lack of funding, no the lack of jobs. I know many people from the College of Ag and people not in the College of Ag that have gotten good jobs in agriculture. It is not a useless major, but a much needed one. | |
