| I know of quite a few guys that have partial interest in dairy livestock. In fact I have been a partial owner of a couple heifers. It is usually a syndicate or partnership for very high TPI animals that are flushed and the embryos are marketed. Many times the animal will have a contract through a stud company.
It could also simply be an informal family partnership where the dad owns 50% and the son owns 50%. That's pretty common as well. | |
