Saronville NE | Ive asked questions in the past about barns also and like the look and information Im getting and hearing BUT all I keep hearing from my Dad is after going thru the 80s is that buildings cost alot of money to build and when or if you have to borrow that money like I would, the dirt lots are just plain cheaper with less overhead, IF you dont have to meet a ton of NRCS or DEQ rules.
Dads qoute from his 80s experience and hog buildings. I made more money on dirt lot hogs with little or no overhead, then started borrowing money to put new hog barns in that were more efficent feedwise, but after payments, upkeep, higher taxes, I made more money the old fashioned way on dirt. I dont advise building buildings, is all I hear. I know times are different now, way more requlations and such, but a building you have payments every yr vs, some old dirt lots and fence with no payments. | |
