northwest tennessee
cattle here have been sick too or at least the bought ones. For the last couple years fall of the year here is hard to keep them alive and should be better now but like one said the weather is still up and down. When they get sick here they dont respond to anything much. It is going to get the where if cattle have not been vacc. before they leave the farm they will have no value. There was one group that was bought this fall by a friend { he is the one that has the feeders} that were vacc. and some got sick but responded and got over it. None out of that group died. He bought some big heifers that were more like young cows weighing 1050 or so and they got sick, had to be treated twice. He bought one fat heifer to kill that weighed 1100 and she ended up dieing. She was mud fat though and I had a bad feeling about her when I saw her.
