I would have liked to have had him as a professor. I was county agent at one time and the county banned sludge and started landfilling it because an old guy complained about the tomato seeds that sprouted in it, you know we cannot digest tomato seeds. Got Terry to talk to the commissioners at a public meeting and he gets into this high powered lecture and finally one of the commissioners says stop right there. Is this stuff safe? Would you put it on your farm? Sure would is the answer, it is valuable fertilizer if managed properly and this company is doing a good job. That commissioner asked would you read the lab reports for us regularly, Sure he said. Those sludge fields are still the highest producing fields in that county and more farmers want it than get it, especially at today's prices.
