whitehall maryland | Thanks markwright...I basically did that with the fall calvers last year...we got dry from may to august..no grass..si I cracked open ryelage bag and fed em till about labor day..hurricane hit.kicked on grass to calve started feeding them late november full feed, gave em a taste of alfalfa once a week prior to that. I would like to increase to 150 head. Do you think i am better off calving them all in late spring then backgrounding calves and scrap fall calving.thanks. Chris | |
