Baldwin City, KS | I'm 35 and brother is 28. Run between 140 and 150 cows, depending on what odd's and end's are hanging around. Also farm around 1800 crop acres. Dad more or less got out in the late 80's and we started back up on our own several years later. I can see evidence of several folks, young and old interested in the crop acres. I can count on one hand though, the number of younger guys in the area that are truly dedicated to a livestock enterprise. They're out there, but it is a much smaller number compared to the guys that want to raise corn and beans. | |
