NEMO | Are we really that old? Seems like yesterday we was sittin' in vo-tech!!!
Like Ben's idea of no hay, but not able to make that work yet. Trying to stretch the grazing with corn stalks, stubble and waterways.
We have increased the cow herd 10 fold since I graduated from high school. Many days I threaten to sell them all and no-till every acre possible. Wife says I would never do that. One landlord says not to put all the eggs in one basket so we keep the cows.
As to carrying on, have 2 on the ground and 1 in the oven. Maybe someday, one of them will want the headaches! I agree as to someone mentioned, have to be able to make a little money for them to want to do it. | |
