North Western Alberta | Well, taking it out of fossil fuels to be burnt is a good thing, yes. It solidifies at 126 degrees C, so if prices are low, or sales are slow, they just block it. There are millions of tons of sulfur, just in HUGE blocks that look like giant yellow buildings. That is better than it being in the air. It is quite stable when it is just sitting there. Also, they "Prill" it, which means make it into little balls, just like the ones in our fertilizer. To make it into prills, we just drop it into a prill tower, in droplets, and it is cooled with water and wind. So, it just solidifies into little balls like I said. Then, it is easy to store and handle that way too. | |
