It doesn't take a college degree to figure out that if you are 20% overcrowded and "have to many already" AND "they ain't milkin much" that it is time to sell them. ESPECIALLY at the price of culls right now. Are these cows eating enough to pay for their feed? If not why you milking them? But then I am not married to the idea that I need to milk a certain number of cows.

As for your "friend" in Iowa who can grow 250 bu. corn. Who cares what he does as long as he is happy? I always find it funny that people like you, who buy all their feed, think those who grow corn should not milk. Instead of buying feed why don't you sell ALL the cows and rent the land out? no more headaches of dealing with critters, no more worries about buying feed or milk price either.
