Thompsontown, Pennsylvania | if you say so....probly depends how long you leave it sit...tried leaving a silo sit from end of sept, til mid april. filled it to the distributor, left the cone, april we started forking crappy stuff off, and when we realized most of the cone was crap, leveled it and dropped the unloader and ran out til i could stand to feed the stuff to heifers. Something like 6 or 7 nh 185 manure spreaders full with slurry sides. This silo had been filled early sept. half way....forked the crappy stuff off, refilled end of sept with different variety. Should have had about 35 ft of silage there but only ended up with about 25ft. it just kinda dissapeared. If or when we fill the 20 x50 we have, it WILL be covered....will not do that again
