Faunsdale, AL | An old forage wagon isn't a mixer, but it can "play one on TV"! Just depends on what you need to do, but you can make do with a forage wagon if you really aren't into being that accurate.
Our mixers are on trucks, so in the winter we feed silage to the heifers with a forage wagon. Takes good tires for all the highway miles we put on and a grease gun to keep the water out of the hubs on a regular basis once we start getting in ruts out in the pasture.
A mixer with scales is really the cat's meow. | |
