The loss in feed conversion (on outside pigs) will more than make the building payment on a new barn--assuming you are sure you want to stay in for the life of the building loan. I would sell the $6 corn before putting pigs outside, more profit selling the corn than working outside thawing waterers and pitching manure.

I had both outside lots and brand-new buildings side-by side for several years and total cost of production(including the building payment and depreciation) was ALWAYS less inside. Feed conversion is terrible outside.
